A brief overview of 2014 HSV GEN-F Clubsport

Australia’s leading performance car manufacturer- HSV has released the full details of its new clubSport models. The new ClubSport model is available in three variants ClubSport, ClubSport R8 and ClubSport R8 Tourer. Already, there has been too much information leaked and spy photos of undisguised development have done the rounds on the web.


Each of the available variant receives a raft of new technologies and features including the availability of an optional power and torque upgrade to 340kW and 570Nm. In both the Clubsport and Maloo, the LS3 produces 317kW and 550Nm. It’s largely carry-over, and the gearbox choices remain either the TR6060 six-speed manual, or the 6L80E six-speed automatic.

The interior has undergone a complete make-over with new sports seats, instrument panel, clusters, gauges, centre console and appliqués’ delivering a premium look and feel. The brake package has been extensively reworked. Brake pad material has also been revised for better performance as well as a firmer, more responsive brake feel.


Some of the biggest make-over for ClubSport is the standard fitment of a raft of new technologies including Side Blind Zone Alert (with Reverse Traffic Alert), Electric Park Brake, Electric Power Steering, Passive Entry/Push Button Start (with Remote Start available with the automatic transmission), Automatic Park Assist, Front & Rear Park Assist.

HSV has also announced the introduction of a new “SV Enhanced” option to be available exclusively on its R8 models. The “SV” option includes a power and torque upgrade to 340kW and 570Nm, achieved through the addition of some unique component to the LS3 engine. HSV has yet to announce pricing for the Gen-F range, saying that negotiations with Holden are still ongoing. However HSV says that whatever the case, the GTS will definitely be no more expensive than $95,000.
