The much talked about car- The new Volkswagen Golf has been launched in Australia with a revised range. The New Volkswagen Golf is bigger, lighter and more efficient. It offers an improved fuel efficiency, more technology and stronger value. The Volkswagen Golf is priced from $21,490 which is $500 less than the previous entry model with a more powerful engine, a 90kW 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that replaces the 77kW 1.2-litre turbo.
The new Volkswagen Golf comes at two petrol options, one diesel, manual and automatic transmissions, and three trim grades options. Out of the two petrol option, one powers the 90TSI and the other drives the 103TSI. Both of them are turbocharged 1.4 liter four-cylinder units. The 103TSI is the fastest of the Volkswagen Golf range with a claimed 0-100km/h sprint of 8.4 seconds, with the 110TDI in the middle at 8.6 seconds, followed by the 9.3sec of the 90TSI (in both manual and DSG).
The car comes with a new driver fatigue system which monitors the driver’s behavior in the first few kilometers of the journey and then and continually compares that with current behavior to detect fatigue and recommend breaks. The car can also recognize when a collision has occurred and automatically applies the brakes to help avoid secondary impacts.
Some other important features of the car includes seven airbags, 15-inch steel wheels, auto hold function, electric handbrake, cruise control, Bluetooth, trip computer, and 5.8-inch color touch screen. Hence all these valuable features make this car a perfect choice of people of all ages.
